Volume 82/II of the publication series of the Provincial Museum of the Tyrol
deals with the museum's acquisition of works of art under the Nazi regime
and post-war restitution.
It publishes the results of research undertaken by Claudia Sporer-Heis, a member
of the museum's staff.
The publication's introductory chapter describes the processes of post-1945
restitution from the museum. It also outlines the history of the Ferdinandeum
between 1938 and 1945, showing how works of art were acquired during that period.
It is followed by detailed documentation (in table form) of the restitution
cases the museum has been involved with. The publication does not contain any
reproductions of works of art.
