Research into works of art missing from the
museum
The museum suffered losses in the years
1933-1945. On 20 August 1937 nearly sixty "degenerate" works of art were
confiscated from the collection. The museum has compiled a list of the works
confiscated (artist, title, medium, accession number). All remain missing to
date. A copy of the list can be obtained from the Central Registry.
