The Sacco di Budapest is a catalogue of works of art that were taken from Hungary between 1938 - 1949. The catalogue includes full details of the artworks, with photographs, provenance information, profiles of the plundered collectors, and photographs of them and of their works in situ. The catalogue also provides a selection of archival documents, relevant laws, and a listing of important auctions and exhibitions up to 1945. The preface sets out out a comprehensive history of the losses and explains the contemporary legal position.
