Description
The gallery was set up in 1946 by Chris
Ritter and Grace Borgenicht. It
exhibited contemporary American art. The archive comprises gallery
correspondence, biographical and autobiographical writings of Milton Avery,
Gabor Peterdi, and Leonard Pytlak, financial records (1946-51), exhibition
files, scrapbooks containing newspaper cuttings, and photographs of
artworks.
