Description
The Registry, first established in 1981 by the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and transferred to the USHMM in 1993, includes over 170,000 records of survivors and their families. Most survivors registered live in North America. The Registry aims to include the names of all Holocaust survivors and survivors can register online in fifteen languages. The Registry is intended to enable contact between survivors and to assist in tracing missing relatives.
