A provenance research project 'Identification and Restitution of Nazi-looted assets at the Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen (Lower Saxony State and University Library), was undertaken between 1 June 2009 and 31 August 2011, led by the Head of the Department of Special Collections, Helmut Rohlfing and Dr Wilfried Enderle. Project workers were Nicole Bartels and Juliane Deinert.

The practical results of their work were that a little over 1,000 looted items were identified which are listed on the online catalogue of the University of Göttingen at http://opac.sub.uni-goettingen.de/ documented (search "NS-Raubgut and erj<1945").

The results of the project were also documented in a 2011 exhibition and associated catalogue which is available here titled 'Bücher unter Verdacht NS-Raub- und Beutegut an der SUB Göttingen, Katalog der Ausstellung 13.05.-10.07.2011'.

Basic information about the project is available at the website of the project at http://www.sub.uni-goettingen.de/wir-ueber-uns/portrait/geschichte/ermittlung-und-restitution-von-ns-raubgut-der-sub-goettingen/
