in Vienna between 7 September and 19 November 2000.
The book includes two in-depth chapters on the `aryanisation' of household furnishings in Vienna under the Nazis and the research undertaken by the Imperial Furniture Collection to identify cultural property looted from eight Viennese households. The third chapter discusses the photographic installation of objects by Arno Gisinger at the centre of the exhibition and is followed by the photographs. The volume closes with a detailed documentation of the eight cases.
