A
looted painting Pierrot en masque, formerly in
the collection of Paul Rosenberg, and confiscated by the Nazis in 1941,
was exhibited in the 1970s in São Paulo, as the Commission for Art Recovery reported
during the Washington Conference in 1998. Other looted paintings mentioned in this
article were two unnamed ones by Picasso, one by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot
and one by Theobald Michau. A Monet and another Picasso, both in private
Brazilian collections, were identified by the Brazilian Commission for the Investigation
of Nazi Assets.
