The museum has undertaken significant research into works of suspect provenance in its collection. The research is at present focused on sales and acquisitions made in the period 1942-1945. Research into works of art missing from the museum
A list of paintings and items of furniture missing from the museum can be obtained from the Central Registry upon request.
