August 2012: In 2003 and 2007 the Municipal Archives of Munich published a two volume biographical Memorial Book or Gedenkbuch on the Jews of Munich who were murdered by the Nazis. This is now being made available online - click here to access it.  It is a work in progress and not yet a full copy of the published volumes. Texts available for download at the same web address are the 'Introduction' to the Gedenkbuch, 'Institutions of the Jewish Community of Munich', and 'Places of Deportation and Murder'.

The Archives are aware that neither version, published or online, is a complete list of the Jewish victims of the Nazis and welcome information that should be added, as well as feedback about the online site. Send your comments or information to stadtarchiv@muenchen.de.
