March 2013: A report on the provenance research project into Nazi looted books in the Library of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities has been published. Written by
Sandra Butte and Stefan Wiederkehr, it has the title "... as there are no funds in order to buy books“, and shows how the Academy Library availed itself of the opportunity to acquire 'free' books to expand its stocks in the Nazi period.
