The Schwabing Art Trove Task Force issued a press release stating that they classify the 1901 Max Liebermann "Two Riders on the Beach" as Nazi looted art. It was lost by David Friedmann as a result of  the Nazi era and the work should therefore be returned to his heirs. The role of the Task Force for this work is now concluded and it is up to Cornelius Gurlitt's legal heirs to decide on further action. To read the German press release, click here.
