On 8 February 2019, the UK Parliament supported a Bill to extend indefinitely the power to return Nazi looted works of art in UK collections. MPs from across the government and opposition parties spoke in favour of the Bill, expressing their understanding of the importance of restitution and the huge meaning of the looted cultural objects to the families who owned them.
