Stock) statt.

English translation:

"A real beneficiary of the Nazis" - situating the art dealer Maria Dietrich.

We are pleased to invite you in cooperation with CARMAH (Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage) to the monthly "Colloquium on Provenance Research" of the German Centre for Loss of Cultural Property.

The lecture will provide basic information on the biography of Maria Dietrich and her gallery Almas and at the same time show which desiderata exist with regard to her art dealing activities. It will also trace how Dietrich developed within a few years from a mediocre Munich art and antiques dealer to the main buyer for Hitler and his "special mission Linz". In the end, the question arises as to what extent the 1947 assessment 'Nazi beneficiary' from Dietrich's Spruchkammer file is still valid today.

The event will take place at the Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage, Institute for European Ethnology, Humboldt University of Berlin, Mohrenstraße 40/41, in 10 117 Berlin, Room 408 (4th floor).

Participation in the event is free of charge. Due to the limited number of places, however, participation is only possible after prior registration by 20 March.
