Created and maintained with the cooperation of the art history community, arthistoricum.net offers important search, information and publication features accessible worldwide. A project of the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich, Heidelberg University Library and further partners, since earlier this year it has been continued by Heidelberg University Library and Sächsische Landesbibliothek – Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden.

arthistoricum.net provides a comprehensive collection of printed and electronic publications as well as image data bases in the history of art. In order to further open access research and internet publishing, a digital repository and an electronic review journal are available. Thematically organised portals, developed in collaboration with specialists in various fields, enable many different modes of access to a variety of subjects and fields of art history for research purposes. With interfaces in German, English and French, the resources derive from a networked community of specialists and provide an important opportunity for the international networking of information.
