  • Gift of the Turner family to Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Duncan, Toronto, c. 1946
  • Probably C. Turner family, parents of C.C. Turner who spent the war years in Canada as the ward of Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Duncan, Toronto.
  • Possibly British or American art market, according to label and stock numbers on stretcher and frame and French art market, according to French customs stamp on the back.
  • By descent, Douglas Duncan, Toronto, to 1968, and his sister, Frances Duncan Barwick, Ottawa
