Description
The archives at the Archives of American Art consist in over
one hundred catalogues of exhibitions organised by Curt Valentin at Galerie
Alfred Flechtheim in Berlin in 1929 and at the Buchholz Gallery from 1937 until
1948. Galerie Flechteim specialised in twentieth-century French art but also
represented German artists, including George Grosz. Curt Valentin worked for
Alfred Flechteim from 1927; he was also the co-editor of the gallery magazine
Omnibus
, and the exhibitions
organiser.
